Nature Recovery Strategy Map

Please share your knowledge by viewing the map and completing the survey.

The map is a part of Herefordshire’s Local Nature Recovery Strategy’s work to identify areas throughout the county that are a priority for nature recovery. The map will form a part of a wider strategy that will cover all of England. This project is being developed to form a new spatial strategy for nature brought forward within the Environment Act 2021. The areas highlighted are in accordance with the government’s making space for nature report that indicates that existing wildlife sites should be bigger, better, and more joined up.

If you require support or assistance to complete the questionnaire please email NatureRecovery@herefordshire.gov.uk

Sleeping Rough

Information from Ward Councillor Carole Gandy

The Rough Sleeper accommodation has opened for the winter in Hereford and will house a significant number of our rough sleepers during the winter.  If you happen to see a rough sleeper please do not assume we know about them and if possible go onto Street Link www.thestreetlink.org.uk and register the details that are requested.  This information will then be forwarded to our outreach team who will check on the individual.
